Mobility manufacturer lights up new production plant

Due to rapid expansion, Scooterpac, a mobility manufacturer of innovative mobility scooters has celebrated a move to their new 1,800 sqm production facility in Lowestoft.

In 2015, Scooterpac transformed the mobility industry with the introduction of the world’s first folding mobility scooter canopy. Since 2018, the high-tech enclosed mobility scooter has been manufactured at the old site in Oulton Broad. The investment in the Cabin Car’s new production line at Elevation House pledges to increase both output levels and efficiency.

Elevation House boasts an automotive grade paint spray booth and welding bays, in addition to a product showcase area and modern office suite for the company’s growing team.

Dane Lawrence, Managing Director at Scooterpac, commented: “With an expanding product range and growing order book we simply ran out of space. The new premises provides improved staff welfare facilities, and is a great opportunity for us to support the regeneration of the local area.”

The firm’s move comes at an exciting time for the surrounding area whilst benefits of the Lowestoft Town Centre Masterplan are beginning to be realised.

It is great news that Scooterpac’s construction of the Cabin Car, which they started in 2018, has been so successful that they are expanding, moving to new premises and are investing in a new production line.”
